Speech Therapy

Beaches Speech Therapy has been serving the Ponte Vedra Beach area since 2012. Our therapists are experienced in various areas of speech, communication and feeding, and are excited about helping children in our community. With trainings in oral motor therapy, apraxia therapy, feeding therapy, and numerous speech and language trainings, our therapists also work side by side with occupational and physical therapists in our clinic. We are trained to look at how the whole child develops, from head to toe, and how each area of development effects another. We pride ourselves in being a family centered clinic, offering multiple services and various trainings to enhance the experience of our clients. We believe that each child has strengths, and we like to focus on helping them to progress, based on his or her needs. We feel confident that we can offer excellent quality therapy for everyone that we serve.

Melanie Desmond, M.A. CCC-SLP has been practicing for over 22 years. She is trained in PROMPT, SOS Feeding Approach, Kaufman Apraxia trainings, Beckman Oral Motor, NDT trainings, as well as training in additional numerous feeding workshops.
